Shandon Hotel & Spa Continues to add to their amazing year one!
Just recently Shandon Hotel & Spa was ranked 15 out of 820 hotels in Ireland on the largest travel site in the world, TripAdvisor. This is an exceptional achievement which puts the Shandon Hotel & Spa in the top 1.8% of hotels in Ireland.
Carolynne Harrison, General Manager of the Shandon Resort has commended her team for their passion and flair in creating a warm, professional, comfortable and very enjoyable guest experience. We chose our team for attitude over experience and we invested heavily in staff training said Carolynne, she believes that this is the key to their success in achieving such positive feedback because you can teach skills, but you cannot teach someone how to be motivated, positive, passionate or driven!
Since the Shandon opened last Easter, the hotel has won ‘Best Luxury Hotel Europe’ at the Luxury Travel Awards, RSVP Magazine’s Best Resort Spa and just recently the resort has been shortlisted for 7 categories at the 2017 Irish Hotel Awards. Not only has the resort been successful as being recognised for the supreme product they are offering they are also enjoying ‘record breaking’ business results.
Year to date, their occupancy is over 85% since April 2016 until today. This is a fantastic achievement considering that the Shandon pre-opening would have been a seasonal hotel, however, its current management have opened all year and maintained the jobs of their 115 staff right through.
