Every client journey begins with a private consultation. This allows Sandra to understand the client’s concerns, assess suitability and recommend an appropriate solution before any commitment is made.
1. Booking Your Consultation
Clients book a private consultation directly with iHobbs Hair Loss Clinic.
The consultation fee is €50 and is payable when booking. Advance booking is essential because clinic availability is limited.
2. Your Private Consultation
During the consultation, Sandra will discuss:
- Your hair loss concerns and history
- The condition of your scalp and remaining hair
- Your preferred colour, length, texture and density
- Your lifestyle and styling expectations
- The solutions that may be suitable for you
- The maintenance commitment associated with the recommended option
The consultation is confidential and conducted in a private setting.
3. Suitability and Recommendation
Not every hair replacement solution is suitable for every client.
Sandra will assess the location and extent of the hair loss, the health and strength of the remaining hair, the scalp condition and the client’s ability to follow the required maintenance programme.
If an integration system is not appropriate, another option may be recommended.
4. Your Personal Quotation and Deposit
Following the assessment, the client will receive a personal recommendation and a clear quotation for the proposed service.
The quotation will explain the selected solution, the cost of the initial fitting and the expected maintenance requirements.
If the client chooses to proceed, a deposit will be required before the hair and other individually selected materials are ordered. Payment arrangements, including the deposit and remaining balance, will be explained clearly when the personal quotation is provided.
There is no obligation to proceed after attending the consultation.
5. Your First Fitting Appointment
Your first fitting appointment includes:
- Installation of the agreed hair replacement solution
- Professional cutting and shaping
- Styling and finishing
- Homecare and maintenance guidance
- Confirmation of your next appointment
The time required will depend on the selected solution and the technical work involved.
6. Continuing Maintenance for Integration Systems
Crown Integration and Mesh Integration Systems require professional maintenance at approximately six weekly intervals.
A continuing maintenance appointment may include:
- Complete removal of the fitted system
- Assessment of the scalp and remaining hair
- Cleansing and care of the client’s natural hair and scalp
- Cleansing and refreshing of the hair replacement system
- Reinstallation and secure refitting
- Cutting, blending and styling where required
- Review of homecare and any concerns
- Confirmation of the next maintenance appointment
Maintenance appointments are an essential part of wearing an integration system. They protect the client’s natural hair and scalp while helping to preserve the condition, appearance and security of the system.
7. Maintenance for Removable Solutions
Crown Enhancers and bespoke wigs do not follow the same six weekly refitting schedule as integration systems.
The recommended maintenance will depend on the chosen hairpiece, frequency of wear, attachment method and homecare routine. Professional cleaning, adjustment, repair or restyling may be recommended when required.
Sandra will provide individual guidance during the fitting appointment.
8. Planning for Ongoing Care and Costs
Hair replacement involves continuing professional care beyond the first fitting.
Clients considering an integration system should plan for regular maintenance appointments and the eventual replacement of hair, closures or other system components as they naturally wear over time.
The expected maintenance schedule and associated costs will depend on the selected solution, the condition of the system and any additional work required. These details will be explained clearly before the client decides whether to proceed.
9. Protecting Your Hair, Scalp and System
For the best possible ongoing experience, clients should:
- Attend maintenance appointments within the recommended timeframe
- Follow the homecare guidance provided
- Use appropriate products and styling methods
- Report discomfort, excessive tightness, scalp irritation or unusual changes promptly
- Avoid making alterations to the system without professional guidance
Following the recommended maintenance and homecare programme helps protect the client’s natural hair and scalp while supporting the comfort, appearance and longevity of the system.
