The Shandon Spa is a full-service thalassotherapy facility.

Our spa staff is dedicated to exceeding your expectations and creating a memorable spa experience.

We kindly ask that you are respectful of others’ privacy, speak softly and deactivate any disruptive communication devices, such as mobile phones. We reserve the right to ask any guest or group of guests to leave the Spa if they are disturbing other users of The Spa facilities. Smoking (including the use of electronic cigarettes) is not permitted in or around the Spa building. The use of mobile phones and electronic devices in The Spa are allowed however please respect our other guests and ensure devices are kept on silent. Alcohol may be consumed in the Thermal Suite, but only from plastic glasses. Only Beverages purchased at the Shandon spa can be consumed on the premises. We reserve the right to refuse entrance to the Spa to any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We reserve the right to ask any guest or group of guests to leave the Spa if they are disturbing other guests. We reserve the right to ask any guest or group of guests to leave the Spa if they are consuming beverages or drinks not purchases at the spa.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS        

WHAT TO WEAR

No jewellery should be worn in the Thermal Suite and Spa. Towels, robes & spa footwear will be provided, and should your appointment include use of the Thermal Suite, please bring swimwear (should be chlorine resistant). All our robes are universal in size, you are welcome to bring your own robes and flip-flops provided your flipflops are non – slip. In the interest of comfort, personal safety, health, and hygiene and in consideration of all our guests, flip-flops must be worn in all areas of the Spa at all times. Swim wear must be worn at all times in spa and can be purchased from spa reception. Our therapists will provide you with disposable undergarments if needed. Our therapists are professionally trained and will ensure a level of comfort by appropriately draping areas of the body that are not a focus of the treatment.

RESIDENTS

Spa residents are to arrive in the robes provided in the rooms in the hotel. Slippers and towels will be provided in the Spa.

SPA VALUABLES

Although all lockers will have a key, we do recommend that you leave your valuables at home or in hotel safe. The management cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items.

SPA SPECIAL HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS

Please inform us of any health-related conditions prior to your arrival at the Spa. If you are unsure about whether a medical condition could prevent you from having a treatment, or you are currently taking prescribed medication, have an allergy or are pregnant, please call-in advance to discuss suitable treatment options. Treatments are conducted subject to completion of a satisfactory health consultation form.

SPA ARRIVAL

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your treatment to Spa Reception to allow you sufficient time to change, complete your consultation form.

Please note that appointments may alter by 15 minutes from the time stated at the time of booking.

Please note that the allotted treatment time includes time for consultation and aftercare advice.

SPA LATE ARRIVAL TIME

We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time; however, if a late arrival is unavoidable, please call to notify the Spa receptionist when possible. Arriving late will mean your treatment will be adapted to the remaining time of your booking, as we must complete your service by the designated end-time to appropriately accommodate the next guest.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD DETAILS

Card details will be required to secure all bookings including those to be paid by gift voucher. If you are paying by gift voucher, please remember to bring it with you on the day and present it on arrival. Gift vouchers are non-refundable & no change will be given from a gift voucher.

PREPAYING

If you wish to prepay for any spa packages before arrival for any guest, please purchase a voucher or momentary value voucher online prior to your visit, www.shandonhotelspa.com and click on voucher tab. All spa packages and prices are confirmed at spa check in.

RETAIL & DRINKS

All retail products and drinks purchase in spa must be paid for at spa reception before leaving spa on the day of visit.  Any products not paid for there will be a charge applied to the card details provided at the time of booking.

SPA CANCELLATION POLICY  

In the case of no shows or cancellation on the day 100% will be applied, late cancellation 50% charge will be applied to the card details provided at the time of booking.

All spa cancellations must be in writing and emailed directly to spa@shandonhotelspa.com not to the hotel during spa opening hours,

 9.30am – 5.30pm.

OPENING HOURS

Thermal Suite Daily from 9.30am to 5.00pm (Subject to Change at Peak Times & Weekends)

Treatments Daily from 10.00am to 5.45pm

Please be mindful of our peak times which include weekends.

SPA GROUP BOOKINGS

Group bookings are welcomed, and the person making the booking for a group will be responsible for ensuring all those attending is made aware of and comply with the terms & conditions of the Shandon spa.

AGE MINIMUM

The Thermal Suite Spa Experience is only available to persons aged 18 years and upwards.  ID may be required to verify age.

THERMAL SPA & AFTERNOON TEA

Thermal suite and afternoon tea bookings are subject to availability of the spa.  Dietary requirements must be confirmed at time of booking 48hrs in advance. Spa cancellation must be made directly with the spa otherwise they would be a full charge for no shows on spa software.

SPA PACKAGES

All treatments are subject to availability.   We may run specific package offers which must be booked inside dates stated in advertisement offer within certain time frame only. Packages that are already on offer cannot be discounted.

PERSONAL PREFERENCES

Personal preferences whether it is the room temperature or the level of massage pressure, please communicate your preferences with the therapist so that he or she can make your time with us a special experience. Please note we do not offer deep tissue massage. We offer relaxation massages.

SHOULD I RESERVE MY TREATMENTS?

We strongly recommend that you book your treatment times well in advance to avoid disappointment. All treatments are subject to availability. Credit or debit card details are required at time of booking to confirm your reservation. Please note that Spa treatment times are subject to change, they may be 5 or 15 mins between therapist’s bookings and will be confirmed to you on arrival at the Spa.  The thermal suite is prior to all treatments except the 10am treatments.

WHAT FACILITIES CAN I USE IF I HAVE BOOKED A TREATMENT?

Use of the Thermal Suite is complimentary with spa treatment packages.

SPA HEALTH & SAFTEY –

Please use robes or towels when lying on heated lounges. The flip flops provided must be always worn in all areas of The Spa. Please make one of the spa attendants or receptionists aware if you have any difficulties or problems with any of the facilities.

COMPLAINTS POLICY

Any issues in relation to your treatment and or thermal experience must be raised at the time or prior to your departure from the spa that very day. Management of the Shandon Hotel & Spa does not condone any abusive behaviour from any individual or group of individuals towards their staff members. All brochure content is correct at time of print. Management reserves the right to amend any aspect of the content at any time without prior notice.

MANAGEMENT reserves the right to close any area of the Spa, inclusive of the Thermal Suite, without prior notice for essential maintenance.

MANAGEMENT of the Shandon do not condone any abusive behaviour from any individual or group of individuals towards their staff.
